Atelia is a weak and weary collection of divided city-states and nomadic tribes that have roamed the mountains for thousands of years. Historically, Atelia is akin to the wild West; unconquerable and highly advised not to be entered. Recently, however, history is changing as the powerful Confederation puts their iron fist down into the heart of Atelia and vies for total control.

The Atelia Militia is an organized army of rebels led by Warlord Sahrab and his allies. Outnumbered and unpopular, they are fighting fiercely for Atelia’s freedom of religion. In Iron Grip: Warlord, the player takes on the role of a member of Sahrab’s army, engaging in suicidal defensive last-stand missions to stop the massive armies from swallowing their land and culture alive. Players are tasked with not only fighting off hundreds of invading infantry and armor, but also constructing defenses that will help them hold off the enemy for as long as it takes.

Atelian Weapons
In Warlord, you play as an Atelia Militia member and an important part of the game is the weapons that you use to take out Confederate soldiers. With over ten unique weapons all with their own special functions, there’s no small variety to choose from. Whether your style is to set up mines and blow up everything trying to enter, shoot from afar with a long range sniper rifle, or get up close and personal with a combat knife, Iron Grip: Warlord’s weapons system offers something for everyone.Click here for a sample of Warlord’s arsenal.

Atelian Structures
Like weapons, the different structures featured in Iron Grip: Warlord and used by the Atelia Militia are an important part of gameplay. One of them even determines whether a match is won or lost: maintaining your Stronghold is a key to keeping morale up, which in turn decides which side wins. Iron Grip: Warlord offers several unique structures, each with their own functionality through the game. Supply stations and anti-tank turrets are only a handful of the original structures the Atelian militia uses. Check out more about structures here.

Confederate Vehicles
The Confederates are your enemies in Iron Grip: Warlord, and their vehicles are some of the most detrimental objects you face throughout the game. From tanks to walkers, and even the ability to call in air strikes against the player's defenses, the Confederation's vehicles are nothing to scoff at. The key to defeating this vast enemy is understanding what they have at their disposal; knowledge is power. Arm yourself with a firm understanding of how they work before you go into battle. Confederate Infantry
The greatest strength the Confederation has is sheer numbers, and the infantry vastly outnumbers the Atelia Militia, a tactic they often employ throughout Warlord; they prefer to win simply with overwhelming numbers. This is not to say, however, that the Confederation lacks in skill; in addition to numbers, they have varying ranks of soldier that the Atelians come up against in their struggles to keep their lands free, and the player must deal with them all in order to protect their home.
